How portal credits work

Portal credits allow you to create personalized invite links for your events. These invites can be sent directly through ARTSVP, distributed individually, or downloaded and sent through your own CRM or mailing service. Invites can also be generated and used via the API.

**What is a portal credit?**

A portal credit enables you to provide a portal to an exhibitor, sponsor, or partner.

**How much do portal credits cost?**

Portal credits are purchased in bundles, with prices varying based on volume. Check the pricing of these bundles by clicking the credits icon in the portal group or on your billing page in your organization settings.

**When are portal credits used?**

Portal credits are used not when you create a portal, but when it is assigned.

You can create as many portals as you like, but they won't be assignable or usable unless you have credits.

When a portal owner first views their portal, they are asked to enter an email address to assign the portal. At this point, a portal credit is used.

**Ensure you have invite credits for portals to generate invites from their allocation**

When a portal is in use, the portal owner can generate invites from their allocation. An invite credit is used each time an invite is generated. If there are no credits available, the portal will not be able to generate invites from their allocation.

**Portal invites do not expire**

When you buy a bundle of portals, there's no obligation to use them within a specific time frame or within the existing subscription year.
